Yunus Emre (c. 1238–1328) was a Turkish Sufi poet and mystic, considered one of the most important and beloved poets in Turkish literature. He is known for spreading humanistic and spiritual values through his poetry, emphasizing love, unity, and divine connection.His works reflect Sufi philosophy, especially themes of selflessness, the inner journey, and spiritual awakening.Yunus Emre is considered a symbol of Anatolian wisdom. In 2021, UNESCO declared it the Year of Yunus Emre to celebrate the 700th anniversary of his death.As IDG Yunus Emre Hub, our aim is to bring the teachings and values of his philosophy to the present day and model them under the IDG framework.
